The Draw for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia



The 2018 World Cup finals draw for the 32 teams that will play at next year’s FIFA World Cup first round was decided in Friday's 1 December ceremony in Moscow.




Hosts Russia play Saudi Arabia in the World Cup's opening game in Moscow on 14 June.The Group A match will take place on June 14 at the 81,000-capacity Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

Holders Germany are in Group F with Mexico, Sweden and South Korea while five-times winners Brazil are in Group E alongside Switzerland, Costa Rica and Serbia.
Spain, the 2010 winners, will meet Iberian rivals Portugal as well as Morocco and Iran in Group B following the ceremony that was staged at the Kremlin in Moscow.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup draw ceremony gave Russia the chance to showcase the cities and stadiums that will host the 32 teams next year.

The 2018 tournament takes place in 12 stadiums across Russia between 14 June and 15 July.
